At the Mixtape Cover Store, there are two (2) great ways to secure a cd cover to use for your next project. Whether you’re leasing the mixtape cover or purchasing the exclusive use contract to it, both options have their respective advantages. A Lease Agreement to a MixtapeCoverStore.com title is effective immediately after purchase, by and between the seller (hereinafter referred to as the "Owner" a.k.a. "Mixtape Cover Store") and the Buyer.
The Mixtape Cover Artwork listed is a copyrighted composition, created by the Seller, who warrants that it contains only stock images created by the Seller or properly licensed to the Seller, and contains no images that require third-party copyright clearance or licensing. The Seller grants to the Buyer limited, non-transferable rights to use the Mixtape Cover Artwork in the production of one new musical composition and/or master recording. The Seller retains full copyright ownership of the Mixtape Cover Artwork.
The Buyer may not loan, rent, share or resell the Mixtape Cover Artwork. Buyer may not re-assign rights to the Mixtape Cover Artwork, in whole or in part, to any party. Following the execution of the Lease Agreement, the Seller shall not transfer or license any rights to the Mixtape Cover Artwork to any other parties for any purpose. Previous licensees of the Mixtape Cover Artwork will retain their license rights in full as per the Seller’s agreement with them.
The Buyer agrees to fully indemnify and hold harmless the Seller (and Seller’s officers, agents, and employees) of and from any and all claims, demands, losses, causes of action, damage, lawsuits, judgments, including attorneys' fees and costs, arising out of or relating to the Buyer’s breach or alleged breach of any term, representation, or warranty of this Lease Agreement, including but not limited to the Buyer’s use or alleged use of unlicensed or improperly licensed material in the creation of the Mixtape Cover Artwork.
Buyer has the right to reproduce, distribute and stream the Mixtape Cover Artwork worldwide in a limited quantity, up to 10,000 copies. A regular lease agreement is a contract that allows the artist to use the artwork for demos, mixtapes, or promotional use with limitations on distribution amounts (number of sales) and rights.
-
-
The Mixtape Cover Store maintains full ownership and may continue to sell the artwork until an exclusive use contract is purchased for it. Then, it can no longer be sold again. Any artist(s) who have purchased a regular lease agreement before the exclusive was sold, would not be affected.

Leasing a mixtape cover is the most affordable way for a budding artist to get quality graphic designs for their new mixtape, album or single. Rather than spending hundreds for a cd design, our regular lease agreement gives you the opportunity to get the artwork you need, at a price everyone can afford. Plus, with the regular lease agreement, you’re still able to receive the all royalties and publishing rights generated from sales of your master recording through streaming services, digital retailers, and physical distribution.

A regular lease agreement is subject to the terms and limits within your contract. For example, the lease allows for you to distribute ten-thousand (10,000) copies of your project for profit. Once that ten-thousand (10,000) units is reached, you must re-purchase the regular lease agreement or upgrade to an exclusive use contract. If you're not careful and your song takes off, we could potentially take your earnings for sales above ten-thousand (10,000) units. Plus, a mixtape cover can be sold multiple times until an exclusive use contract is purchased. This provides the opportunity for multiple artists to grab the same cd cover.

-
The regular lease agreement option is popular for artist(s) beginning their careers and independent artist(s) who need access to affordable graphics. It is a great option if you want to get your music out there to build up your fan base and disk catalog. On the other hand, if you’re ready to level up, invested in yourself and are preparing to release an album with a budget behind it, an exclusive use contract would be your best option.

Plus, with this contract, you’re able to receive the all royalties and publishing rights generated from sales of your master recording without counting sales. You will have full ownership over the artwork. It will be removed from our website, and no longer available for anyone else to purchase.

Since this type of license has a lot more value to it, it makes it a much bigger initial investment than a regular lease agreement.

Professional artists, independent artists with a budget and breakout ready artists. Having an exclusive use contract is necessary when you’re at the level that you expect to sell more songs than the regular lease distribution limits or have a marketing and promotional budget behind your project.

You always want to make sure you’re safe by having the required permission to use a mixtape cover. If you don’t have the rights to use a mixtape cover and start making substantial profit off of a song you made, we can legally get your song taken down, and potentially take further legal action against you for copyright infringement. It’s just better to play it safe, especially if you want to take your music career seriously.
